Workshops

Looking for an affordable presenter to engage your students in pastoral care and well-being issues such as Resilience, Healthy Relationships or Body Image and Self – Esteem?

Or perhaps a speaker for parents?

Do you require a facilitator to conduct student workshops, retreats or seminar days?

Needing help to develop a well-being curriculum tailored to the needs of your students, and addressing Child Protection Curriculum and Safe Schools commitment

Wellness is the compete integration of body, mind, and spirit – the                             realization that everything we do, think, feel, and believe has an effect on our state of well-being.

Greg Anderson

There is much pressure on schools and teachers today to meet all the educational and social-emotional needs of their students.

At the risk of sounding old, “things are not like they used to be”. The curriculum is extremely full and diverse, parental and societal expectations have changed, and Generation Y brings with them a very different culture than that of their Baby Boomer and Gen X teachers.

More and more, teachers are being stretched beyond their initial training and expertise to be health workers, IT specialists and social workers, on top of their commitment to good teaching and learning.

Engaging today’s students in health and well-being issues requires creativity, energy and confidence about the material and its delivery. While there are a multitude of programs available, bringing these to life in the classroom can be daunting for those who have not had specific training in well-being education.

With over 40 years working in the education and personal growth sectors, I have extensive experience in large group presentations, facilitating workshops and assisting staff to develop and conduct teaching programs.

Listed below are examples of presentation and workshop themes that are available. However, this list is not extensive and I can tailor individual programs to meet your needs.

School budgets have many demands on them and contracting external consultants can be very expensive. I am passionate about helping young people become more resilient, build healthy relationships and develop a positive self-image. Therefore, I offer services to students and parents at an affordable price.

Self-esteem is as important to our well-being as legs are to a table. It is essential for physical and mental health and for happiness.
